When It Doesn’t Work

If your test submission didn’t show attribution data in your CRM or other tool, don’t worry — most issues are easy to fix. Follow the steps below to check the most common problems.

1. Check the Script Installation

  • Make sure the AttributionHub script is installed on your site.
  • It should be placed in the <head> of your pages (or added correctly through Google Tag Manager).
  • Open your site with a URL containing UTM parameters (e.g., ?utm_source=test&utm_medium=test).
  • Inspect your browser’s local storage to confirm that AttributionHub is storing the data.

2. Check Hidden Field Names

  • Ensure that the hidden fields in your form are set up correctly.
  • The field names must match the ones AttributionHub expects.
  • If the names don’t match, the data cannot be passed through the form.
Note: See the list of Supported hidden Field Names for reference.

3. Check Field Mapping in Your CRM

  • Confirm that each hidden field in your form is mapped to the correct property in your CRM or CMS.
  • In many systems this mapping happens automatically, but sometimes you need to link fields manually.
  • If mapping isn’t set, the data may not appear in your CRM even if it was captured correctly.

4. Test Again

  • After fixing the above, submit the form again with UTM parameters in the URL.
  • Check your CRM record to confirm attribution data is now being stored.
